Era il 9 aprile 2005 quando apriva la prima mostra – una collettiva con Diango Hernàndez, Tonel, Federico Guzman, MP&MP Rosado, Anna Amadio e Christian Schwarzwald – alla Paolo Maria Deanesi Gallery, allora situata a Rovereto, nei pressi del Mart. Da allora due cambi di sede, lo spostamento a Trento nel febbraio 2014, per la 34esima mostra (la presente è la 68esima), innumerevoli presenze nelle maggiori fiere italiane ed altro ancora. In questa maniera la Deanesi Gallery è diventato un punto di riferimento sul territorio per le ricerche contemporanee più interessanti tra Italia, Germania, Est Europa e Cuba.

Una storia consistente e importante che, con la mostra Twenty Years, viene rievocata, celebrata e rilanciata nel futuro attraverso alcuni degli artisti che hanno contribuito a caratterizzare l’identità della galleria in tempi remoti e recenti. Diango Hernàndez, tra gli espositori della prima mostra, è significativamente rappresentato anche in questa, vent’anni più tardi. Assieme a lui, molti altri artisti, ma non tutti, che ormai da anni, sono parte della scuderia della Paolo Maria Deanesi Gallery: Silvia Argiolas, Arnold Mario Dall’O, Antonio De Pascale, Jacopo Mazzonelli, Igor Eškinja, Robert Gschwantner, Armando Lulaj, Luca Macauda, Jacopo Mazzonelli e Michele Parisi. Una mostra tra Italia e Mondo a cui sono tutti invitati come augurio e buon auspicio per gli anni a venire.

It was 9 April 2005 when the first exhibition opened – a group show with Diango Hernàndez, Tonel, Federico Guzman, MP&MP Rosado, Anna Amadio and Christian Schwarzwald – at the Paolo Maria Deanesi Gallery, then located in Rovereto, near the Mart. Since then two changes of venue, the move to Trento in February 2014 for the 34th exhibition (the present is the 68th), countless appearances at major Italian fairs and more. In this way, the Deanesi Gallery has become a point of reference in the area for the most interesting contemporary research in Italy, Germany, Eastern Europe and Cuba.

A consistent and important history that, with the exhibition Twenty Years, is evoked, celebrated and relaunched into the future through some of the artists who have contributed to characterising the gallery’s identity in remote and recent times. Diango Hernàndez, among the exhibitors in the first exhibition, is significantly represented in this one, twenty years later. Together with him, many other artists, but not all of them, who have been part of the Paolo Maria Deanesi Gallery stable for years: Silvia Argiolas, Arnold Mario Dall’O, Antonio De Pascale, Jacopo Mazzonelli, Igor Eškinja, Robert Gschwantner, Armando Lulaj, Luca Macauda, Jacopo Mazzonelli and Michele Parisi. An exhibition between Italy and the World to which all are invited as a wish and good omen for the years to come.
